We actually got a dumpster for a while to get start getting rid of all the boxes! I have been waiting for this for a while to really break some ground.
This pile of boxes was not as bad as it looks thankfully. Here I am breaking it in.
Some really nasty fishing pole.
Some cool ads from Universal studios in 1993 and toontown in Disneyland.
These awful long metal beams are actually for chair lifts to go up and down stairs.
So out they go!
Two bicycles that have an electric motor. We’ll see how well they work.
We opened the back garage for the first time in decades! There are three cars in here.
I love the ’73 Cadillac!
I think this is a ’88 corvette convertible.
Also all the bikes!
My grandfather used to pick up these hard balls that fall from the tree. He kept boxes and boxes of them for some reason.
He also made these sunglasses with a review mirror for when he went bike riding.
More still to come!
This day was a little more slow pace then last time. We didn’t have nearly as much furniture to move. Last wednesday we moved 2 couches, a coffee table with matching side tables, a wooden love seat, and some wicker furniture.
Friday we just moved a writing a desk and two night stands. We actually were able to fill up about four trash cans worth of magazines and newspapers. I’m hoping that next week we will be able to dump a lot of empty boxes. So next week will be super busy!
The bike is still there….
We found a door that opens to the backyard through the garage. But first we have to throw out all the stuff blocking the way!
Writing desk we want to sell.
This has been completely filled with magazines we found in that entrance way
This bike is a replica from the High step Bicycle co. from Milwaukee Wisconsin.
This is how it was left after we were done for the day. Hopefully more progress next week.
Nice California sunset a few weeks ago.
The sky was really beautiful that day…
Last time I went to the lake I caught a nice big mouth bass. The lake looks more full then usual so I’m pretty happy about that.
So for working on the garage this is how the day started.
This section is what we are currently tackling. trying to get rid of all this old furniture. Apparently some of it was my great aunt Lola who put big gold wheels on her couches.
My great grandmother’s couch.
Found more of those newspapers and threw them out.
Found some old ads that were in the late 80’s. I found one that was Oct. 21, 1988.
Filled those trash cans!
Never even heard of this beer.
The couch I used to sit on and spend time with my great grandmother.
found the back wall.
The couch I used to sit on with my great grandma again. Then we found a penny farthing style bicycle. Don’t know much about it at the moment.
Getting ready to get rid of most of this furniture. I guess a lot of it came from a company called barker brothers like this dresser…
